Preparation
This is without a doubt the most crucial stage of the process. A solid foundation is key for the longevity of your next project. From the removal of existing tiles, through to the preparation of substrates, The Little Tiling Co. always ensures this process is on point, ready for the next process.
Waterproofing & Screeding
Waterproofing - We use up to date, Australian standard waterproofing membranes that are made from a thin layer of water tight material. This is laid over the surface of your wet area. This layer is continuous and does not allow water to penetrate through it, making it perfect for any kind of wet area.
Screeding - Where communication between The Little Tiling Co. and you makes all the difference. Understanding the tiles you have selected for the project, discussing set-downs for shower sizes, choosing floor traps whether it be standard grill, smart grates or strip drains and making sure the finished tiled floor height meets the existing floor height seamlessly. Getting this process right, sets up the tiling process perfectly.
Tiling
Once all preparations are complete and selections have been approved we go on to the installation of tiles. With hundreds of bathrooms tiled over the years our unrivalled expertise will guarantee the best possible lay-out. We then give you an appraisal on what our thoughts are and once agreed, Its time to start ‘notching’.
Grouting/Caulking
We can help you with your choice of grout colour as there are numerous shades of each colour. If you want to match the tile as close as possible, or you want your tile joints to stand out, we will have the shade that’s right for you.
Silicone is the final stage to bring it all together. The grout and silicone we use come from the same manufacturer, giving the final project that continuous flow.
Cleaning
The Little Tiling Co. maintains a safe work environment throughout the duration of the project. We respect your home and endeavour to keep noise and dust to a minimum. We can arrange to disburse all waste at the end, we do the dirty work, hassle free. We handover all our projects to a showroom finish.
